She started her career as a ballet dancer, performing with the Royal Danish Ballet and later with the Ballets Russes de Monte Carlo. In the 1930s, she transitioned to acting and appeared in many films and plays, including the Danish comedy classic "Mille, Marie og mig" (1944). Højgaard was known for her charming and graceful performances, which earned her a loyal following in Denmark. In addition to her acting work, she also taught ballet and choreographed several productions. Vivi Bach started her career as a pop singer in the 1960s and achieved great success in Germany, where she released numerous chart-topping hits. She also acted in a number of films and TV shows, mostly in the comedy and musical genres.
