Wim Sonneveld (June 28, 1917 Utrecht-March 8, 1974 Amsterdam) also known as Willem Sonneveld or Willem Benedictus Augustinus Sonneveld was a Dutch singer, actor, cabaret artist and screenwriter.
Considered one of the great Dutch entertainers of the 20th century, Wim Sonneveld became famous for his theatrical performances and humorous acts. He made his debut in 1936 in the cabaret group "De Ronde, Lang en Lommer" and later formed his own group, "De Wim Sonneveld Revue".
Aside from his work in the cabaret scene, Sonneveld also starred in several films and television shows. He was known for his portrayal of diverse characters, ranging from charming men to comic figures.
Sonneveld also had a successful music career and recorded numerous albums, including popular hits like "Aan de Amsterdamse grachten" and "Het dorp".
