She was born in Amsterdam and grew up in Bussum. In the 1990s, she rose to fame and became a household name in the Netherlands through her roles in various Dutch TV series such as "Goede Tijden, Slechte Tijden." She was also a singer and released several singles.
In 2001, Nederhorst married Dinand Woesthoff, the lead singer of the Dutch rock band Kane. Together, they had a son named Dean.
