Peter McGovern was an English racing driver who is best known for his successful career in motorcycle racing during the 1950s and 60s. He began his career in 1948 and soon became a professional racer. McGovern won several titles including the British 250cc Championship in 1950, 1952, and 1953. He also competed in the prestigious Isle of Man TT races, where he achieved a podium finish on several occasions. In addition to his racing career, McGovern was also a successful businessman, owning a motorcycle dealership in Liverpool.
