Innocent started his career as a stage actor in the 1970s and made his film debut in 1983 in the Malayalam movie "Aanandam". He went on to appear in over 500 films in various languages including Malayalam, Tamil, and Hindi. He is best known for his comedic roles and has won several awards for his performances, including the Kerala State Film Award for Best Comedian multiple times.
