Dave Smith (August 19, 1949 United Kingdom-) is an English musician and synthesizer designer. He co-founded Sequential Circuits in 1974, a company that produced some of the most popular synthesizers of the 1970s and 1980s, including the Prophet-5 and the Prophet-10. These instruments were instrumental in shaping the sound of electronic music during that era.

In addition to his work with Sequential Circuits, Smith has also designed instruments for other companies, including Korg, Yamaha, and Roland. He was also the lead designer for the Korg Wavestation, an instrument that incorporated digital and analog technologies to produce unique sounds.

In 2002, Smith founded Dave Smith Instruments (DSI), which has released a number of successful synthesizers, including the Prophet '08, the Prophet 12, and the OB-6. These instruments have been used by a wide range of musicians, from Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails to Taylor Swift.

Smith has received numerous awards for his contributions to the field of electronic music, including a Technical Grammy in 2013. He continues to design innovative instruments and inspire musicians around the world.

Christopher Blake

Christopher Blake (August 23, 1949 Chingford-December 11, 2004 London) a.k.a. Peter Ronald Gray, Blake, Christopher or Chris Blake was an English actor.

He is best known for his role as Tommy in the British sitcom "Mixed Blessings" and as PC Geoff Younger in the police drama series "Dempsey and Makepeace". Blake began his acting career in the 1970s, appearing in a number of British television shows such as "Z-Cars" and "The Onedin Line".

In addition to his acting work, Blake was also a talented musician and songwriter. He released several singles in the 1970s under the name Peter Blake, including "I Love You" and "Fool's Paradise". He also wrote music for television shows and films, including the theme for "Mixed Blessings".

Blake's career was tragically cut short when he was found dead in his London home in 2004. His death was ruled a suicide by hanging, although some of his friends and family have disputed this conclusion. Despite the circumstances of his death, Blake is remembered as a talented actor and musician whose work brought joy to many people.
