Sid Smith (February 28, 1894 Faribault-July 4, 1928 Los Angeles) a.k.a. Sidney Smith, Sydney Smith or Sydney C. Smith was an American actor.

He began his career on the stage, appearing in vaudeville and Broadway productions. He made his way to Hollywood in the 1920s and appeared in over 80 films during his short career. Some of his notable roles include appearances in "The Kid" (1921), "The Pilgrim" (1923) and "The Music Box" (1932). He was known for his comedic timing and physical humor. Tragically, Sid Smith died at the young age of 34 from pneumonia. Despite his short career, his influence on comedic acting is still evident in modern cinema.
