Adam Yauch

Adam Yauch (August 5, 1964 Brooklyn Heights-May 4, 2012 Manhattan) also known as MCA, Adam Nathaniel Yauch, Nathaniel Hörnblowér, Nathaniel Hornblower, Nathanial Hörnblowér, Adam Youck, Nathan Wind, Adam 'MCA' Yauch, Nathanial Hornblower, Abednego or bloach was an American musician, songwriter, rapper, actor, film producer, film director, film distributor and human rights activist. He had one child, Losel Yauch.

Yauch was one of the founding members of the iconic hip-hop group Beastie Boys, alongside Michael Diamond (Mike D) and Adam Horovitz (Ad-Rock). The group rose to fame in the 1980s with their debut album "Licensed to Ill" which included hit songs like "Fight for Your Right" and "No Sleep Till Brooklyn". Yauch continued to release music with Beastie Boys throughout the next few decades, experimenting with different genres and styles, and became known for his socially conscious lyrics.

Aside from his music career, Yauch was also heavily involved in activism and humanitarian efforts. He co-founded the Milarepa Fund, an organization that raised funds for the Tibetan independence movement, and helped organize the Tibetan Freedom Concerts, a series of benefit concerts that raised money and awareness for the cause.
