Nancy Spungen was best known for her tumultuous relationship with punk rock musician, Sid Vicious of the Sex Pistols. She met Vicious in 1977 and soon after became his girlfriend. Their relationship was often characterized by drug abuse, violence and frequent arguments. In October 1978, Spungen was found dead in the bathroom of the hotel room she was staying in with Vicious. He was charged with her murder but died of a drug overdose before the trial could begin. Despite her short life, Spungen's connection to the punk rock scene has made her an important figure in music history.

Mia Zapata was the lead vocalist for the Seattle-based punk rock band, The Gits. She grew up in Louisville, Kentucky and moved to Ohio to study art at Antioch College. In 1986, she relocated to Seattle where she joined The Gits as the lead singer. The band released their debut album, Frenching the Bully, in 1992.
On July 7, 1993, Mia was brutally raped and murdered on her way home from a bar in Seattle. Her death was a shock to the music community and sparked an outpouring of support. The case went unsolved for several years until DNA evidence linked a suspect, Jesus Mezquia, to the crime. Mezquia was convicted of first-degree murder in 2004 and sentenced to 37 years in prison.
In memory of Mia, The Gits released an album of live performances called Seafish Louisville in 1994. Several tribute albums were also released featuring covers of The Gits' songs by various artists. Mia's legacy lives on as a talented musician and an inspiration to many.

Blaze Foley was born Michael David Fuller in Malvern, Arkansas, on December 18, 1949. He grew up in Texas and Georgia and began playing music at a young age. In the 1970s, Foley moved to Austin, Texas, where he became a fixture in the city's burgeoning outlaw country scene.
Foley was known for his raw, emotional songwriting and his distinctive voice, which was sometimes compared to Townes Van Zandt and John Prine. He released several albums during his lifetime, including "Wanted More Dead Than Alive" and "Blaze Foley," but he never achieved significant commercial success.

Hartman was best known for his work as a cast member on the sketch comedy show "Saturday Night Live" from 1986 to 1994, where he showcased his wide range of comedic characters and impressions.
