He started his career in the entertainment industry as a radio personality, hosting a show on DZHP called "Kuya Ike's Ministry of Laughter and Fun." Aside from acting, he was also a comedian, singer, and television host. He appeared in numerous films and television shows, such as "Goin' Bulilit," "Pinoy Blonde," and "Mga Batang Yagit." In 1983, he won the Best Supporting Actor award from the Film Academy of the Philippines for his role in "Minsa'y Isang Gamu-Gamo." Ike was known for his comedic timing and his ability to bring joy to his audience. Unfortunately, Ike passed away at the age of 54 due to a heart attack.
