Chat Silayan (July 8, 1959 Philippines-April 23, 2006 Quezon City) otherwise known as Maria Rosario Rivera Silayan, Maria Rosario Silayan-Bailon, Chat Silayan Bailon, Chat Silayan-Bailon or Maria Rosario Silayan was a Filipino actor. She had one child, Victor Margheriti.
Silayan was crowned as the Miss Universe-Philippines in 1980 and represented her country in the Miss Universe 1980 pageant held in Seoul, South Korea. She placed 3rd runner-up in the said pageant. She was also known for her roles in Filipino films such as "Kisapmata", "Moral", "Ang Babaeng Hinugot sa Aking Tadyang", and "Kalapati sa Gatas ng Asosasyon" among others. In addition to her acting career, Silayan was also a nurse and a broadcaster. She worked as a news anchor and segment host for the ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation. She was a recipient of numerous acting and beauty awards such as the Best Actress award from the Gawad Urian Awards and the Best Actress in a Supporting Role award from the FAMAS Awards.
