Solveig Dommartin was best known for her roles in the films directed by Wim Wenders, including "Wings of Desire" and "Until the End of the World". Dommartin also worked as a filmmaker and wrote and directed her own short film, "Chambre 666". In addition to her work in film, she was also known for her talent as a trapeze artist and performed with the Nouvelle École du Cirque in Paris. Dommartin lived a relatively private life, but was rumored to have had a romantic relationship with Wenders during the filming of "Wings of Desire".
