Chhabi Biswas
Chhabi Biswas (July 12, 1900 Kolkata-June 11, 1962 Kolkata) also known as Sachindranath Biswas, Chhabi, Chabi Biswas, Chhobi Bishshash or Late Chhabi Biswas was an Indian actor and film director.
He acted in over 100 Bengali films and is best known for his roles in films like Devdas, Kanchenjungha, and Jalsaghar, all directed by Satyajit Ray. Biswas started his career as a theater actor and later transitioned to films. He was known for his versatility in portraying a wide range of characters, from kings and landlords to policemen and lawyers. Besides acting, Biswas also directed a few films, including Basu Paribar and Daak Ghar. He was awarded the Padma Shri, India's fourth-highest civilian award, in 1960 for his contribution to Indian cinema. Biswas passed away at the age of 61 due to a heart attack.

J. C. Daniel
J. C. Daniel (November 28, 1900 Agastheeswaram taluk-April 29, 1975 Nagercoil) otherwise known as Joseph Chellayya Daniel Nadar was an Indian film director, film producer, actor, screenwriter and dentist. His children are called Sundaram Daniel, Lalitha Daniel and Haris Daniel.
Considered as the father of Malayalam cinema, J.C. Daniel made his directorial debut with the film Vigathakumaran in 1928, which is also considered the first Malayalam film ever made. Despite facing financial and technical hurdles, Daniel made two more films, Marthanda Varma (1933) and Ramayanam (1933). However, faced with financial difficulties and competition from Tamil and Hindi films, his film career came to an end.
Daniel was awarded the prestigious J.C. Daniel Award posthumously in 1992 for his significant contributions to Indian cinema. In 2013, a biographical film titled Celluloid was made on his life and achievements, which was well-received critically and commercially. Apart from being a filmmaker, he was also a dentist by profession and had completed his studies in the United States.

Deenanath Mangeshkar (December 29, 1900 Mangeshi village-April 24, 1942 Pune) also known as Pandit Dinanath Mangeshkar or Dina was an Indian singer, actor and musician. His children are called Lata Mangeshkar, Hridayanath Mangeshkar, Meena Khadikar, Asha Bhosle and Usha Mangeshkar.
Deenanath Mangeshkar was born to a family of musicians and inherited a deep love for music from his father. He was trained in classical music and quickly gained recognition for his melodious voice and soulful renditions. He also acted in a few Marathi films and composed music for some of them.

Uday Shankar
Uday Shankar (December 8, 1900 Udaipur-September 26, 1977 Kolkata) a.k.a. Uday Shankar Chowdhury was an Indian dancer, actor, screenwriter, film director and choreographer. He had two children, Ananda Shankar and Mamata Shankar.
Uday Shankar was recognized as one of the pioneers of modern Indian dance and contributed significantly to the promotion of Indian culture around the world. He first gained recognition as a dancer in Paris after touring Europe with his troupe, earning praise for his unique fusion of Indian classical and folk dances with Western ballet and modern dance styles.
He then went on to work as a choreographer and director for Indian films, and in 1948, he founded the Uday Shankar India Cultural Centre in Almora, Uttarakhand, which aimed to promote Indian arts and culture.

Ezra Mir
Ezra Mir (October 26, 1900 Kolkata-March 7, 1993 Mumbai) also known as Edwin Myers was an Indian screenwriter, film director, film editor and actor.
Mir started his career in the Indian film industry in the silent era, working as a film journalist before moving on to screenwriting. He worked on films in various languages including Bengali, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil and Telugu. Some of his notable works as a screenwriter include the film "Naukri" (1954), which won the Filmfare Award for Best Story, and "Madhumati" (1958), which won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film.
Mir's directorial debut was the film "Aaj Ki Baat" (1955), which he also wrote and edited. He went on to direct several films in a career spanning over two decades. Some of his notable directorial works include "Bhakta Kumbara" (1958), "Bhabhi Ki Chudiyan" (1961) and "Pyaar Ki Pyaas" (1961).
Apart from his work in films, Mir was also a prominent stage actor and director, and was associated with the Indian People's Theatre Association (IPTA) for several years.
