Sunil Dutt began his career in Bollywood with the film Railway Platform in 1955 and went on to star in a number of successful movies such as Mother India, Mujhe Jeene Do, and Padosan. He later turned to producing and directing films, and his directorial debut, Yaadein, was a critically acclaimed movie. In addition to his film career, Dutt was also involved in politics and was elected as a Member of Parliament for the Indian National Congress party. Saeed Jaffrey was born in Malerkotla, Punjab, British India (now in India) and he received his formal education at Allahabad University. He started his career in theater in Delhi during the 1950s and then moved to England in the 1960s. Jaffrey appeared in various British TV shows and films during the 70s, including The Jewel in the Crown and My Beautiful Laundrette. He also starred in several Hindi films, including Satyajit Ray's Shatranj Ke Khilari and Henna.

B. V. Karanth
B. V. Karanth (September 19, 1929 Manchi-September 1, 2002 Bangalore) otherwise known as Babukodi Venkatramana Karanth, BV Karanth or Babukodi Venkataramana Karanth was an Indian film score composer, film director, actor, musician and screenwriter.
Born in the small village of Manchi in Karnataka, Karanth was passionate about theatre and music from a young age. He moved to Mumbai in the 1940s to pursue a career in theatre and worked with renowned theatre personalities such as Ebrahim Alkazi and Satyadev Dubey. He was also associated with the Indian People's Theatre Association (IPTA) and worked as a music composer for many of their productions.
In the 1960s, Karanth shifted his focus to cinema and directed his first film, Vamsha Vruksha, in 1972. He went on to direct and score music for several acclaimed Kannada films such as Chomana Dudi, Kanooru Heggadithi and Ghatashraddha. He started his career as a theater artist and debuted in the film Bedara Kannappa in 1954. He went on to act in more than 200 films in Kannada cinema and won several awards for his performances. He was known for his versatile acting and melodious singing.
Apart from acting, Rajkumar was also actively involved in social and cultural activities. He promoted Kannada language and culture throughout his career and was an advocate of non-violence and vegetarianism. He was also a philanthropist and contributed to various charities.
