In 1960, he made his Hindi film debut in the film "Bees Saal Baad" which was a huge commercial success.

D. Ramanaidu was born in Karamchedu, Andhra Pradesh, India. He began his career in the film industry in 1963 as a producer with the film Anuragam. He went on to produce over 150 films in several Indian languages including Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Bengali.

Ramanaidu won numerous awards throughout his career including the Padma Bhushan in 2012, the third-highest civilian award in India. He also received the Dada Saheb Phalke Award in 2009, the highest award in Indian cinema.

In addition to his work in the film industry, Ramanaidu was actively involved in politics. He served as a member of the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of the Indian Parliament, from 1999 to 2005.

Dubey was known for his experimental approach to theatre, often incorporating elements of folk traditions and mythology into his plays. Some of his most famous works include "Adhe Adhure," "Evam Indrajit," and "Hayavadana."
