Muthukulam Raghavan Pillai (April 5, 2015 Muthukulam-April 5, 1979) a.k.a. Akshara Guru was an Indian actor, writer, screenwriter, poet and playwright.

He was born in Muthukulam, a small village in the Indian state of Kerala. Pillai began his career in the entertainment industry as a playwright and later transitioned into acting. He is widely recognized for his work in the Malayalam film industry, where he appeared in a number of critically acclaimed movies.

In addition to his acting career, Pillai also wrote several screenplays, poems and plays that received widespread recognition in the Malayalam literature community. He was awarded the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award in 1970 for his contributions to Malayalam literature.

Pillai was known for his versatility as an actor and his ability to bring out complex characters on screen. Some of his notable films include "Chemmeen", "Nirmalyam", "Odayil Ninnu" and "Thulabharam".
