Jalal Moghadam (April 30, 1929 Nishapur-April 18, 1996 Tehran) was an Iranian actor, film director and screenwriter.

Throughout his career spanning over four decades, Jalal Moghadam appeared in over 50 movies and directed eight films. He graduated from Tehran University with a degree in Law and began his artistic career as a stage actor in 1952. Moghadam's role in the acclaimed movie "Gaav" (The Cow) in 1969 earned him national recognition and critical acclaim. In 1976, he was awarded the Best Actor prize at the Hong Kong Film Festival for his role in the movie "The Chess Game of the Wind".

Besides acting, Moghadam also wrote scripts for various films, including "Dayereh-ye Mina" (The Cycle) in 1977, which he also directed. He was known for his versatility as an actor and his ability to portray complex characters. Moghadam was also a member of the Iranian parliament for two terms, advocating for the arts and culture.

Jalal Moghadam passed away on April 18, 1996, at the age of 66 after suffering from heart failure. His contributions to Iranian cinema have been praised by many and he is remembered today as one of Iran's greatest actors and directors.
