Charles K. Gerrard

Charles K. Gerrard (December 20, 1883 Carlow-January 1, 1969 New York City) also known as Charles Gerrard, Charles K. Gerard, Charles Girard, Charlie Gerard, Charles Gerard or Charles Kavanagh was an Irish actor.

Gerrard began his acting career in Ireland and later moved to England where he performed on stage and in films. He appeared in over 60 films, including "The Hound of the Baskervilles" (1939) and "Dishonour Bright" (1936). Gerrard was also known for his role in the popular British television series "The Adventures of Robin Hood" (1955-1959), in which he played Friar Tuck. In addition to his acting work, Gerrard served in World War I and was awarded the Military Cross for his bravery. He also wrote several novels, including "The Penitent Thief" and "A Runaway Bridegroom". Gerrard died in New York City at the age of 85.
