Iris Ashley (December 26, 1909 Republic of Ireland-January 1, 1994 London) also known as Iris Stafford Northcote was an Irish actor.

She began her career in the theatre, performing in various productions in London's West End, including Noel Coward's "Private Lives" and John Van Druten's "London Wall". She later transitioned to film and television, appearing in several notable productions such as "The Fallen Idol" (1948), "Sapphire" (1959), and "The Avengers" (1961).

In addition to her acting career, Ashley was also a writer and translator. She translated several plays by French playwright Jean Anouilh, and wrote a novel titled "The Dark Side of Venus" under the pseudonym Stafford Northcote.

Throughout her career, Ashley remained a highly respected and sought-after actor, and was praised for her versatility and range as a performer.
