Gendelev was also an accomplished poet and created translations of famous works of Russian literature, such as Alexander Pushkin's "Eugene Onegin" and Fyodor Dostoevsky's "The Brothers Karamazov." Dudu Topaz is considered one of the most influential figures in Israeli popular culture. He began his career as an actor in the early 1970s, appearing in a variety of plays, films, and television shows. However, he gained widespread recognition in the 1980s as a television personality and host of the popular talk show "Behind the Screen."
In addition to his work in front of the camera, Topaz was also a prolific writer and playwright. He created and starred in a number of popular television programs, including the sketch show "Kishkashta" and the game show "Arnold". He also wrote and produced several plays and films, including the stage production "Stalin's Children."
