Henry Kotani (April 25, 1887 Hiroshima Prefecture-April 8, 1972 United States of America) also known as Kuraichi Kotani, Kotani Henrī, Hanoki, Henry Katoni or Henrî Kotani was a Japanese film director, cinematographer, actor and screenwriter.

Kotani began his career in the Japanese film industry as a cameraman and eventually became a prolific director, helming over 150 films in his lifetime. He was known for his innovative techniques, including his use of color tinting and his experimentation with camera movement. In addition to his work in film, Kotani was also a talented actor, appearing in several movies throughout the 1920s and 1930s. He later emigrated to the United States, where he continued to work in the film industry, primarily as a cinematographer and camera operator. Despite his significant contributions to the field, Kotani's work is relatively unknown outside of Japan.
