Momoko Kōchi

Momoko Kōchi (March 7, 1932 Taitō-November 5, 1998 Hiroo, Shibuya) also known as Kōchi Momoko, Momoko Kawachi, Momoko Kochi, Momoko Okouchi, Momoko Kouchi or Momoko Kôchi was a Japanese actor.

She died as a result of cancer.

Kōchi was most notable for her role as "Yuriko Edogawa" in the Japanese science fiction film "Godzilla" (1954). She also had roles in various other films, including "Seven Samurai" (1954) and "The Bridges at Toko-Ri" (1954) as well as television dramas such as "Tokugawa Ieyasu" (1983) and "O-oka Echizen" (1990). In addition to her acting career, Kōchi was also a popular essayist and commentator. She was married to fellow actor Toshio Hosokawa with whom she had a daughter.
