Ayaka Wilson was born in Toronto, Canada to a Canadian father and a Japanese mother. She grew up in both Canada and Japan, and started her career as a model at the age of 14. She became well-known in Japan as a tarento (a celebrity who appears on television) and started to receive roles as a voice actor for anime series and video games.
