Johnny "J"

Johnny "J" (August 28, 1969 Ciudad Juárez-October 3, 2008 Los Angeles) otherwise known as Johnny J, Johnny Jackson, Captain Kirk, Heiny Hay, Tito Quentez, Johnny Lee Jackson or Johnny J. was a Mexican songwriter, record producer and rapper.

Discography: I Gotta Be Me. Genres he performed: G-funk, Rhythm and blues, Dancehall, Hip Hop, Hip hop music and Contemporary R&B.

Johnny J rose to fame for his collaborations with Tupac Shakur. He produced and co-wrote many of the songs on Tupac's multi-platinum albums "All Eyez on Me" and "Makaveli: The Don Killuminati." He was also featured as a rapper on some tracks.

Aside from his work with Tupac, Johnny J also produced and wrote songs for other notable artists such as Snoop Dogg, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, and The Game.

In 2008, Johnny J was found dead in his prison cell in Los Angeles where he was serving a 12-year sentence for charges related to a hit-and-run incident. He was only 39 years old at the time of his death.
