Kim Jong-il
Kim Jong-il (February 16, 1941 Vyatskoye, Khabarovsk Krai-December 17, 2011 Pyongyang) also known as Kim Jong Il, Kim Jong-Il, Yuri Irsenovich Kim, Dear Leader, Dear Father, Jong-il Kim or Chŏng-il Kim was a North Korean politician. His children are called Kim Jong-chul, Kim Jong-un, Kim Sul-song, Kim Yo-jong and Kim Jong-nam.
Kim Jong-il was the second leader of North Korea and ruled from 1994 until his death in 2011. He succeeded his father, Kim Il-sung, who was the founder of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. During his reign, Kim Jong-il continued to implement the Juche ideology, which promotes self-reliance and the strengthening of the military.
Kim Jong-il was known for his reclusive nature and eccentricities.
