He was born on June 3, 1947 in Karachi, Pakistan. Rafi started his career as a child artist and later became a prominent figure in the Pakistani entertainment industry. He acted in several television serials, films and stage dramas throughout his career. Some of his popular TV serials include "Dhoop Kinare", "Sunehray Din" and "Family Front". He was known for his effortless performance and impeccable comic timing. Despite being a comedian, he also delivered serious performances in dramas like "Mann-o-Salwa" and "Landa Bazar".
