Mikhail Zharov (October 27, 1899 Moscow-December 15, 1981 Moscow) a.k.a. M.I. Jaroff, M. Zharov or Mikhail Ivanovich Zharov was a Russian actor, film director and theatre director. His children are called Anna M. Zharov and Eugene Zharov.
Zharov began his career as an actor in the famous Moscow Art Theatre in the 1920s. He gained fame as an actor for his emotive and versatile performances and quickly became a leading figure in the Soviet theatre scene.
