Petkovic began his acting career in the 1960s and quickly became a well-known figure in Serbian theater and film. He appeared in over 70 films and television shows during his career, including the popular TV series "The White Ship". Petkovic won several awards for his acting, including the Best Actor award at the Belgrade Film Festival in 1982 for his role in the film "Something in Between". In addition to acting, Petkovic was also a writer and director, and he worked on several theater productions.
