He was a graduate of the Korea National University of Arts and began his career in theater before transitioning to film and television. Kim Dong-hun starred in numerous Korean dramas and films throughout the 1960s and 1970s, and was known for his powerful performances and emotional range. In addition to his acting career, he also directed and produced many successful theater productions. Throughout his career, he garnered critical acclaim and won several awards, including the Best Actor award at the 1970 Blue Dragon Awards for his performance in the film "Traces of Love." He passed away in 1996 at the age of 57.
