Hanna Ralph

Hanna Ralph (September 25, 1888 Bad Kissingen-March 25, 1978 Berlin) also known as Johanna Antonia Adelheid Günther was a West German actor.

Hanna Ralph began her acting career in Berlin in the early 1900s, where she trained at the Deutsches Theater. She made her stage debut in 1908 in a production of "Minna von Barnhelm" by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. Throughout her career, she appeared in numerous plays, both in Berlin and in other German cities.

She also starred in over 80 films, beginning with "The Oath of Stephan Huller" in 1913. Some of her most notable film roles were in "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari" (1920) and "The Holy Mountain" (1926). In the 1930s, she continued to act in films under the Nazi regime, but she eventually left the film industry after World War II.

Outside of her acting career, Ralph was also an accomplished singer and wrote her own songs. She was married twice and had one son. After her death in 1978, she was buried in the Waldfriedhof Dahlem cemetery in Berlin.
