Her children are called Nick Daly and Justin Daly.

She is the daughter of film legend Ingrid Bergman and surgeon Petter Lindström, and spent much of her childhood between Europe and America. Lindström began her career as a newspaper journalist in Sweden before moving to New York City in the 1960s where she worked for WABC-TV as a reporter and producer. She later became the Vice President of Program Development for the channel.

Lindström has also worked as a film critic and written screenplays, including the documentary "Ingrid Bergman: A Life in Pictures." Additionally, she has acted in several films and television shows, including "Hawaii Five-O" and "Ironside."
