Backlin began her acting career in the early 1940s, performing in Swedish theatre productions. She later became a well-known actor in Swedish films and television shows, appearing in over 40 movies and numerous TV series. Some of her notable works include "The Emigrants" (1971) and "The New Land" (1972), both directed by Jan Troell.
In addition to her acting career, Backlin was also a devoted environmentalist and advocate for animal welfare. She supported several organizations aimed at protecting the environment and was a prominent figure in the Swedish animal rights movement.

Bojan Westin (September 5, 1926 Iggesund, Hudiksvall-October 4, 2013 Stockholm) a.k.a. Bojan Westin Reuter was a Swedish actor. She had one child, Suzanne Reuter.
Bojan Westin began her career in acting in 1952 and featured in a number of Swedish films and TV shows over several decades. Some of her notable films include "Mina drömmars stad" (The City of My Dreams) in 1976 and "Pensionat Oskar" (Boarding House Oskar) in 1977. Bojan also acted in a number of plays at the Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm. In addition to her acting career, she was a board member and head of the Swedish Actors' Union, working tirelessly to improve the conditions of actors in Sweden. She was awarded the prestigious Eugene O'Neill Award in 1997 for her service to the Swedish theater community. Bojan Westin passed away at the age of 87 in Stockholm.
