Darío Moreno

Darío Moreno (April 3, 1921 Aydın-December 1, 1968 Istanbul) otherwise known as Dario Moreno or David Arugete was a Turkish guitarist, composer, singer, lyricist and actor.

He was of Sephardic Jewish descent and started his career as a singer in his teens, performing in nightclubs and on the radio. He eventually moved to France and became a popular singer in the 1950s, known for his flamboyant style and unique voice. Moreno also appeared in several French films during this time.

His biggest hit was the 1961 song "Brigitte Bardot", which was written specifically for the French actress and became an international sensation. Moreno continued to tour and record music until his sudden death from a heart attack at the age of 47. He is remembered as a key figure in Turkish-French music and for his contributions to the world of entertainment.

He was honored with numerous awards in his career, including the "Best Supporting Actor" award at the 12th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival for his role in "Ironhand". Er was also a talented singer who recorded several albums of Turkish classical music. He passed away in 2005 at the age of 84 in Istanbul.

Muzaffer Arslan

Muzaffer Arslan (February 4, 1921 İzmir-November 5, 1992 Istanbul) otherwise known as Muzaffer Aslan was a Turkish film producer, actor, screenwriter and film director.

Arslan was born in İzmir, Turkey in 1921. He began his career in the entertainment industry as an actor and appeared in several films throughout the 1950s. In 1964, he founded his own film production company called Arslan Film, where he produced and directed many successful Turkish movies. Arslan is considered as one of the pioneers of the Turkish cinema industry during the 1950s to the 1970s, and his works have contributed to the development of Turkish cinema. He co-wrote and produced the film "Ölüm Tarlaları" (The Fields of Death), which won the Golden Leopard award at the Locarno International Film Festival in 1965. Arslan was married to the actress Belgin Doruk, and they had two children together. He passed away in Istanbul in 1992 at the age of 71.
