He grew up in the southeastern province of Mardin and his interest in acting began during his high school years. After studying at the Istanbul State Conservatory, he began his career in acting in the 1950s. He starred in over 200 movies and television shows throughout his career and is best known for his roles in "Dikenli Yol" and "Maden". In addition to his acting career, he was also a director and screenwriter. He passed away in 2002 at the age of 74.
