Erol Güngör
Erol Güngör (November 25, 1938 Turkey-April 24, 1983) was a Turkish personality.
He was a sociologist, economist, and writer, who became famous for his contributions to the social and cultural development of Turkey in the 1970s and 1980s. Güngör received his degree in economics from Istanbul University and later completed his Ph.D. at the University of Paris. He published numerous essays and books on Turkish society, including his famous work "The Turkish Model" which analyzed the social and economic development of Turkey in the post-WWII period. Güngör was also a strong advocate for human rights, democracy, and freedom of speech, and played an important role in the opposition movement against the military governments that ruled Turkey in the 1970s and 1980s. Eren Ozker was best known for her work on the children's television show, "Sesame Street", where she operated and voiced several puppets including the character known as "Sherlock Hemlock". She was also a talented artist and illustrator, and worked on several children's books throughout her career. Born in Turkey, she studied psychology at Ankara University before moving to the United States where she pursued her career in puppetry and voice acting. Her contributions to children's entertainment and education through her work on "Sesame Street" have helped shape the lives of generations of viewers. Even after her death, she continues to be remembered and celebrated for the joy and laughter she brought into the world.
