Günther Weisenborn (July 10, 1902 Velbert-March 26, 1969 Berlin) also known as Ulrich Carl Günther Weisenborn was a West German screenwriter, writer and dramaturge.

He began his career in the early 1920s as a journalist and later became involved in theater productions. During the Nazi era, Weisenborn was an active member of the resistance movement and wrote several plays and books critical of the regime. He was arrested in 1944 and spent the rest of World War II in various concentration camps. After the war, he continued to work as a writer and also served as the head of drama at Deutsche Oper Berlin. Weisenborn's works often dealt with themes of social justice, democracy and human dignity.
