Bryan Harvey

Bryan Harvey (April 27, 1956 Richmond-January 1, 2006) was an American musician and guitarist.

He first gained attention as a member of the rock band House of Freaks, which he formed with drummer Johnny Hott in 1984. The band released several albums throughout the 1980s and 1990s, receiving critical acclaim for their unique blend of folk, rock, and punk influences.

After the dissolution of House of Freaks, Harvey continued to perform as a solo artist and collaborated with other musicians, including members of Cracker and Counting Crows. He also played a key role in establishing the Richmond music scene, both as a musician and as the owner of the local record store Plan 9 Music.

Tragically, Bryan Harvey and his family were killed in their Richmond home in 2006 in a shocking act of violence that shook the music community and beyond. His legacy lives on through his music and the impact he made on the Richmond music scene.

In addition to his work in music, Bryan Harvey was a dedicated family man. He was married to Kathryn Harvey, who was also killed in the tragic incident, and the couple had two young daughters, Stella and Ruby. Walter Scott

Walter Scott (February 7, 1943 St. Louis-December 27, 1983 Saint Peters) also known as Scott, Walter was an American singer.

He was the lead singer of the popular R&B group The Whispers, which he co-founded in 1963. With Scott's distinctive high tenor voice, The Whispers achieved numerous hits throughout the 1970s and 1980s, including "And the Beat Goes On" and "Rock Steady". Scott was also a prolific songwriter, contributing to many of the group's biggest hits. He continued to perform with The Whispers until his death in 1983 at the age of 40 due to complications from diabetes.

Scott, born in St. Louis, Missouri, grew up in San Francisco and formed The Whispers with his twin brother Wallace "Scotty" Scott, Nicholas Caldwell, Marcus Hutson, and Gordy Harmon. The group was initially called The Eden Trio before changing their name to The Whispers in 1963. In 1964, they signed with Dore Records and released their debut single, "I Was Born When You Kissed Me".

Throughout their career, The Whispers' music mixed R&B, funk, and disco to create a unique sound. They had hits on both the R&B and pop charts, including "And the Beat Goes On", which became one of their signature songs and has been sampled in many songs since its release. The group's success continued into the 1980s with hits like "It's a Love Thing" and "Just Gets Better with Time".

In addition to his work with The Whispers, Scott also had a successful solo career, releasing several albums including "Introducing Walter Scott" in 1981. He was also a dedicated philanthropist and worked to raise awareness about diabetes after being diagnosed with the disease himself in the early 1980s.

Stretch (April 8, 1968 Queens-November 29, 1995 Queens Village) also known as Randy Walker was an American actor, rapper and music producer.

He was a member of the hip-hop group Live Squad and recorded several albums with the group. Stretch was also known for his collaborations with Tupac Shakur and appeared on several of his albums, including "Me Against The World" and "All Eyez On Me". In addition to his music career, Stretch had also appeared in several films and television shows, including "Juice" and "Who's The Man?". Sadly, Stretch was tragically shot and killed in 1995 in his hometown of Queens Village, leaving behind a legacy as a talented and versatile artist.

Stretch was born and raised in Queens, New York City. He formed Live Squad in the late 1980s with his childhood friend, Majesty. They released their debut album, "Bring It On" in 1992. Around the same time, Stretch also began working with Tupac Shakur, producing and recording several tracks together. This collaboration led to Stretch's appearance on Tupac's critically acclaimed album, "Me Against the World".

Aside from his music career, Stretch pursued acting and made his on-screen debut in the 1992 film, "Juice". He also appeared in the comedy film, "Who's the Man?" in 1993, and had a guest role in the television series, "New York Undercover".

Stretch's life was cut short on November 29, 1995, when he was fatally shot while driving in Queens Village. His murder remains unsolved, but his contributions to rap music and acting continue to be celebrated by fans and fellow artists alike.
