Fred Paul (November 27, 1880 Lausanne-November 27, 1967 England) was a Swiss actor, film director, screenwriter and film producer.

He was a pioneer of the British film industry and is known for producing the country's first sound film, "Palais de Danse" (1931). He had a long career in film, beginning in the early 1900s as an actor in silent films before moving on to directing and producing. Paul was also instrumental in bringing German Expressionist films to the UK and introducing the work of major directors like Fritz Lang and F.W. Murnau to British audiences. Later in his career, he worked as a producer on several films in Hollywood, including Alfred Hitchcock's "Rebecca" (1940).
