Imperio Argentina (December 26, 1906 San Telmo, Buenos Aires-August 22, 2003 Benalmádena) also known as Magdalena Nile del Río or Petit Imperio was an Argentine singer and actor. She had two children, Florián Martínez Nile and Alejandra Goyanes Nile.

Imperio Argentina was a prominent figure in the Spanish cinema during the 1930s and 1940s. She rose to stardom with her role in the film "La hermana San Sulpicio" in 1934. Imperio was known for her remarkable voice and captivating performances which made her one of the most popular artists of her time.

She began her musical career as a tango dancer in the 1920s before transitioning to singing and acting. Imperio was particularly famous for her renditions of Andalusian folk songs, flamenco, and copla. In 1929, she recorded her first album, which was a hit both in Spain and Argentina. She went on to record several other albums throughout her career, one of the most famous being "Conchita Piquer e Imperio Argentina" which she recorded alongside fellow singer Conchita Piquer.
