Pero Budak

Pero Budak (June 21, 1917 Trebinje-December 4, 2008 Zagreb) was a Bosnian actor and screenwriter.

He began his career in the 1950s and continued to act in films, television series, and theater productions for several decades. Some of his notable film roles include "The Birch Tree", "To Love a Priest", and "The Border Post". In addition to his acting career, Budak was also a talented screenwriter and wrote several screenplays for films such as "The Birch Tree" and "Mara Kadisce". He was awarded with the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Croatian National Theater in recognition of his contributions to the performing arts industry.

Budak was born in Bosnia and during World War II he was arrested and sent to a concentration camp due to his activities with the Partisans, a resistance movement against Nazi Germany.
