Antonio Prieto

Antonio Prieto (May 26, 1926 Iquique-July 14, 2011 Santiago) also known as Juan Antonio Espinoza Prieto or Prieto, Antonio was a Chilean actor and singer.

He began his career as a radio announcer and then moved on to acting in films and television shows in Chile. Prieto was also known for his singing career, particularly his renditions of bolero and ballads. He gained international recognition when he performed the song "La Novia" at the Rio de Janeiro Carnival in Brazil in 1961, which became a hit throughout Latin America. Throughout his career, Prieto starred in numerous films and television shows and recorded several albums. He was a cultural icon in Chile, known for his unique voice and charismatic stage presence.
