Elizabeth Peña began her acting career in the late 1970s, and quickly gained recognition for her roles in movies such as "Lone Star", "La Bamba" and "Rush Hour". She also appeared in TV shows like "ER", "Modern Family" and "Matador". As a voice actor, she lent her voice to animated movies like "The Incredibles" and "Justice League Unlimited". Peña was also a TV director, directing episodes of "Resurrection Blvd." and "Zoey 101". She was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for her supporting role in "Lone Star". Peña passed away in 2014 at the age of 55 due to complications from alcohol abuse.
