He was the son of famous Czech actor and singer Rudolf Deyl, Sr. Rudolf Deyl, Jr. followed in his father's footsteps and became a well-known actor himself. He appeared in many Czech films and TV shows during his career, and was particularly known for his comedic roles.
Deyl was also a talented voice actor and lent his voice to many characters in Czech-language dubs of popular animated films, including Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and The Jungle Book. He was also a successful stage actor and performed in numerous productions at the National Theatre in Prague.
