He won an International Emmy Award in 2004 for his performance in the Dutch television drama "Cloaca." Hans Croiset (October 15, 1935 Amsterdam-) a.k.a. Henri Julien Croiset is a Dutch actor and television director.
He is the son of the actor Max Croiset and his wife, the actress and writer Jeanne van Schaik-Willing. After studying at the Arnhem School of Arts, he made his theatrical debut in 1956 with the Nederlandse Comedie, one of the Netherland's most important theater companies, where he stayed until 1987.
Croiset has played many leading roles in Dutch plays, including Vladimir in Waiting for Godot, Max in The Homecoming, and King Lear. He has also acted in international productions, including 'Tis Pity She's a Whore at the Royal Shakespeare Company in England, and The Lady of the Camellias at the Schiller Theater in Berlin.
