He was best known for his role in the Israeli film "Eize Makom Nifla" ("What a Wonderful Place") and for his work in Israeli theater. Nativ was born in Amsterdam and moved to Israel in the 1950s. He began acting in the 1960s and quickly became a prominent figure in Israeli theater. He was also known for his work in Israeli television, appearing in a number of popular shows. Nativ was awarded the Israel Prize for Theater in 1991 and continued to act in both theater and film until his death in 2008.
