Guus Verstraete
Guus Verstraete (December 24, 1914 Rotterdam-March 4, 1994 Soest, Netherlands) also known as August Juliaan De Graef, Guus Verstraete Sr. or Guus Verstreate Sr. was a Dutch actor. He had one child, Guus Verstraete.
Guus Verstraete was also known for his work as a director and producer in the Dutch television and film industry. He directed numerous television programs, including the popular Dutch game show "Hoger, Lager" and the variety show "Voor de vuist weg". Verstraete also directed several films, such as "De Familie van mijn Vrouw" in 1966.
In addition to his work in the entertainment industry, Verstraete was also a renowned artist. He created and exhibited his own sculptures and paintings in galleries and museums throughout the Netherlands.
Verstraete received several awards for his contributions to Dutch television, including the Golden Televizierring in 1969 for his work on "Voor de vuist weg". He passed away in 1994 at the age of 79.
