She is best known for her role in the Belgian/Dutch girl group K3, where she replaced former member Kathleen Aerts. Before her music career, Josje also worked as an airline stewardess and a model. She was a participant in the Dutch version of So You Think You Can Dance and later became a judge on the show. In addition to her work in entertainment, Josje is known for her philanthropic efforts, particularly her work with the World Wildlife Fund and the NGO Dance4Life.
