Georges Moustaki (May 3, 1934 Alexandria-May 23, 2013 Nice) also known as Moustaki, George Moustaki, Yussef Mustacchi, Giuseppe Mustacchi, Moustaki, Georges or Joseph Mustacchi was an Egyptian singer, composer, actor, songwriter and film score composer. He had one child, Pia Mustacchi.

Moustaki was of Greco-Jewish origin and his family immigrated to France in 1951. He started his career as a songwriter for artists such as Edith Piaf, Yves Montand, and Barbara before launching his own singing career in 1961 with the release of his first album, "Les Moulins de Mon Coeur". Moustaki's music was influenced by a variety of genres, including French chanson, Greek folk music, jazz, and Latin American rhythms.

Throughout his career, Moustaki released over 30 albums and toured extensively in Europe, North Africa, and South America. He was known for his poetic and politically engaged lyrics, and his songs often dealt with themes of love, revolution, and exile.
