Ashwini began her acting career at a young age and rose to fame in the 1990s. She acted in over 50 Tamil films and was known for her roles in films like Vaidehi Kathirundhal, Nadigan, Sathi Leelavathi, and Kadhal Kottai. She also acted in a few Telugu and Malayalam films.
