He began his acting career in the early 1950s and has since appeared in numerous films, TV shows, and stage productions. Varg is best known for his work with director Ingmar Bergman, having appeared in several of his films, including "The Seventh Seal" and "Wild Strawberries". He has also acted in several international films, including "The Flight of the Eagle" and "The Unbearable Lightness of Being". In addition to his acting career, Varg has written several books on Swedish dialects and is a renowned dialectologist.
